Sanity Salad anyone??!

I was having dinner with my children yesterday.

It was a normal tea-time, you know the one.... negotiating mouthfuls with my four year old, negotiating staying sat in her seat with the 2 year old (she is like Houdini with any highchair straps – it’s quite incredible!), trying to listen to my 6 year old who was telling me all about his day at school, fielding requests for more drinks, and sauces, and food, and oh yeah, trying to eat a few mouthfuls myself in between too!

Read more....… Continue

Charities

I have been helping with the soft launch of a new company (www.donatesomeback.com) that compares insurances for pets, cars and homes, along with selling office stationery.

The great thing about this company is that they are actually giving to charity a percentage of the turnover they are receiving when you take an insurance policy or buy stationery through them. Up to a value of £25 each time! This will also work on renewals, so next year if you renew with them, again your favoured charity will… Continue

Do you want to party?

NYR Home

Totally amazed how this is taking of, we have nine parties booked from showing the products to friends and attending two events.
I use the orange & geranium hand lotion for people to try and it sells every time (well quite a lot)
When I tell them we do party plan, it’s when can I have one?
How hard can it be when you have such a well respected brand and all we have to do is show it to people.
The team is growing and so is my customer base.… Continue

"a phenomenon industry experts say they’ve never seen before"

Multiple Streams of Income - have you heard that expression cropping up wherever you look these days?

If you're in direct selling, is your recruiting up? If you read all the blogs from the States it's really happening over there and, as you know everything then follows over here in Europe soon after, so, in short, be ready!

Becke Alexander, sales manager for New York-based Avon Products, hears each week from laid-off bankers and stay-at-home moms, but also gainfully employed people worried how… Continue

How are you treating your potential customers?

If you want happy satisfied customers, treat them well!

I spent the best part of yesterday inviting complete strangers in to my home to quote for some pressing plumbing work, I had two experiences that were poles apart.

One of the guys briskly pushed passed me, climbed the stairs to the bathroom where he took no more than a second glance at the job in question and abruptly told me that he would have to knock down part of a wall to do the job, that it would be very difficult for him as there wa… Continue

Loving Life with Neal's Yard Remedies Home!

Hi All,
Whilst the world seems determined to focus on the doom and gloom of the time, I'm staying positive and loving my new business with Neal's Yard Remedies Home.

I'm growing a team really fast and it's fabulous to be working with great and enthusiastic people.
I'm really enjoying doing parties for people, who have great fun and get a… Continue

10 Tips I Wish Someone Had Told Me Years Ago... They're Not Rocket Science But They Work!!

1. Whilst the kids are in the bath, give the sink and toilet a clean... you’ll be in the bathroom with them so can chat and join in their games, but the bathroom gets cleaned too and will never be a task in its own right again!

2. Break your housework down... rather than having ‘dust the sitting room’ on your list, have ‘dust the tv cabinet’, ‘dust the mirror’ etc on your list. By ticking off the tiny tasks, the bigger task never has to happen.

3. Fill your car with petrol when you can rather… Continue
